The Digital Public Health Graduate Program (DPHGP) offers additional financing to participate in international trainings, conferences, research schools, summer schools, etc. as well as long-term international mobility projects for all Digital Public Health PhD cohort students.

Digital Public Health financial supports

The Digital Public Health Graduate Program offers additional financing, upon application, to support long-term international mobility projects and to participate in international trainings and/or conferences for all DPH PhD cohort students.

The PhD student must:

/!\ All PhD students from the DPH cohort MUST apply to the DPH international mobility financial. They won't be eligible to the Graduate Research School financial support.

1. Mobility Project (between 1 day and 1 month)

The additional funding supports projects:

  1. To complete your training (practical workshops and/or trainings, summer schools, laboratory visits, congresses and conferences).
  2. Short-term laboratory visits at the end of the PhD to look for a post-doc position.
  • The PhD student can apply for this mobility grant once throughout the academic year (from Septemer 1 to June 30).
  • The departure must last between 1 day and 1 month and cannot be split up.
  • PhD students can apply throughout the year, at least 1 month before the wished departure.

Complete the additional documents specifying every detail of the trip (travel, accommodation transport, meals, etc.). The Executive Committee will decide the amount of the funding.

2. Long-term International Mobility (between 2 and 9 months)

The long-term international mobility grant supports projects in research laboratories according to the candidate’s thesis research project.

  • The PhD student can apply for this mobility grant only twice during the 3-year doctoral period.
  • Long-term mobility projects must last between 2 and 9 month and cannot be split up.
  • PhD student can apply from throughout the academic year (from Septemer 1 to June 30).
  • Mobility must be carried out between July of the current year and August of the following year.

How to apply?

Apply online at dph@u-bordeaux.fr by submitted the requested files:

  • Application form duly completed (+ scientific description of the project)
  • Mission Information Sheet duly completed
  • CV and cover letter
  • Support letter from the thesis supervisor(s)
  • Invitation letter from the host institution (laboratory, university, etc.) attesting the mobility period (exceptions: congresses, conferences).
  • If applicable, any proof of additional funding (additional mobility grants, salary, etc.).

For long-term mobility projects, selected PhD students will benefit from a travel grant and from a monthly allowance as below:
